Nittany Lions in the NFL - Week 6

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 42 Penn State alums are populating the rosters of 23 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions are perennially a top-20 program in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com provides updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.

Several Nittany Lions helped their teams to winning efforts in all three phases. Amani Oruwariye (Lions) and DaQuan Jones (Titans) both came up big on defense, with Oruwariye breaking up a pair of passes and Jones hauling down DeShaun Watson for a sack. On special teams, kicker Robbie Gould converted a 49-yard field goal and three extra points to help lead the 49ers past the Rams on Sunday night. The wide receivers continued to standout offensively, as Chris Godwin (Buccaneers) returned from injury and brought in five receptions for 48 yards in a win over the Packers, and Allen Robinson put up a similar stat line to lead the Bears.
