UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams, under the direction of head coach Wes Glon, will head to Ohio State for first dual meet series of the 2020-21. The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, in Columbus, Ohio.
The teams will fence against Notre Dame, Duke, North Carolina and Ohio State. Additionally, the Penn State women's fencers will fence Northwestern. Round one of the two day competition is set to start at 8 a.m. on Saturday with matches continuing throughout the day. Action will then resume on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Fencing for the women this weekend will be:
Foil - Lodovica Bicego (Vicenza, Italy), Samantha Catantan (Quezon City, Philippines), Sofia McGoff-Medero (Gurabo, Puerto Rico)
Epee – Kateryna Chorniy (Kyiv, Ukraine), Helen Myers (Victorville, Calif.), Axelle Wasiak (Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium)
Saber - Pauline Conscience (Paris, France), Ximena Iriarte-Estrada (Huixquilucan, Mexico), Zara Moss (Cranberry Township, Pa.)
Fencing for the men this weekend will be:
Foil – Sebastiano Bicego (Vicenza, Italy), Arwen Borowiak (Tauberbischofsheim, Germany), Konner Paik (Norwood, N.J.), Nicholas Prince (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Epee – Elias Cole (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Ryan Griffiths (Fair Lawn, N.J.), Peter Kambeseles (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Jonathan Piskovatskov (Houston, Texas)
Saber – Clement Perrier (Allauch, France), Inti Farfan-Bayerl (Morrison, Colo.), Stepan Sevastyanov (Corona, N.Y.), Michal Wisniowski (Clark, N.J.)
