Cardile to Play in USILA Senior All-Star Game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State defensive standout Nick Cardile was selected to play in the USILA Senior All-Star Game, which will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. The game features two rosters of Division I and Division II players combined and will be played at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. Cardile is on the South squad.

Cardile recently wrapped up an outstanding collegiate career at Penn State that saw him play in 63 games, including 48 as a starter on the Nittany Lions' defensive unit. He earned USILA honorable mention All-America recognition and a spot on the Big Ten All-Tournament Team during a 2019 season that saw the Lions win their first Big Ten regular season and Tournament titles before making their first trip to the semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament.

A four-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week during his career, Cardile totaled 101 ground balls and 53 caused turnovers. He contributed on the offensive end with five goals and three assists.

Cardile's leadership ability proved to be just as valuable to the team as his play on the field. He was a two-year captain and was honored to wear the prestigious No. 16 jersey in each of his final two seasons in Happy Valley.
