Nittany Lion Development Program
The Nittany Lion Development Program is for youth who have completed at least Hockey 3 within our Learn to Play Hockey Classes program and are looking to take their skills to the next level. This in-house league is a great way to get kids on a team and competing against other hockey players.
The program offers one skills practice each week and a 3-on-3 game each week. All players must wear proper hockey equipment, which can be rented from the arena. This program is open for players that play travel hockey or do not play travel hockey.

Skills Clinics
Our clinics are designed for hockey players to improve their skills through drills that mimic game situations. These clinics are geared toward the experienced hockey player that wishes to push themselves into becoming a better player. Clinics are drop-in and are operated by Pegula Ice Arena Hockey Director Ryan Patrick and his staff of coaches.
Power Skating and Skills
The Power Skating and Skills Clinic is designed to increase the power and strength of the skating stride. This clinic concentrates on skating specific drills with our power skating instructor. The clinic breaks into groups and incorporates the skating skills into drills that utilize pucks to help the player put to use the skating skills they have learned. This clinic is open for players that play their travel hockey with the State College Youth Ice Hockey Association or do not play travel hockey.

Small Area Skills and Games
The Small Area Games Clinic is designed to help athletes work on maneuvering with a puck in small spaces, and increasing puck handling and hand movements, all while playing games! This clinic is open to any hockey player wishing to improve their skills.

3-on-3 Clinic
The summer months are for keeping the instruction light and letting kids have fun and play, and that's exactly what the 3-on-3 Clinic does! This clinic is a time for players to explore and be creative on the ice while working in small spaces. This clinic is open to any hockey player wishing to improve their skills.

Tune Up for Tryouts
The Tune Up For Tryouts Clinic is a 2 week program to get every youth hockey player ready to make the team! This clinic is a great way to get back on the ice before tryouts to tune up your hockey skills. This clinic is open for any hockey player wishing to improve their skills.

Try Hockey for Free
Thinking about putting your child in hockey? Try Hockey for FREE clinics are a great way to give your child a test run of the sport without having to pay for the equipment and registration fees. With free ice time and equipment on site, you have nothing to lose! Bring your child out and let them get acquainted with hockey through this amazing program from USA Hockey.

Student Hockey League
The Student Hockey League is a great way for Penn State students, faculty, and staff to continue to play the game they love. Each team is guaranteed 8 games and a playoff is held to determine a champion. This is a full contact league and full hockey equipment including helmets with a facemask is required.

Register
Sticktime
Sticktime is open ice for hockey players to work on their skills. Sticktimes are available throughout the week for different age groups - 12 & Under, Ages 13-18, and 18 & Over. Sticktime sessions are $10.00. A helmet with full face shield is required to participate. Sticktime sessions vary each week, to view the calendar and register for a sticktime session click here.
