Ryan Lee Wins New Jersey Public Links Championship

HAMBURG, N.J. – Penn State men's golf rising senior Ryan Lee capped off summer competition by winning the New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) Public Links Championship at Ballyowen Golf Club Wednesday.

Lee, a Norwood, N.J. native, carded a 5-under, 139 total in the 36-hole event. He fired 1-under, 71, in the morning session before turning it up a notch in the afternoon when he shot a 4-under, 68, in the second and final round despite windy afternoon conditions.

Lee entered the afternoon session tied for third place and two strokes out of first, but his strong second round led him to the title in his Public Links Championship debut.

Lee returns to Penn State for his senior season this fall. He is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and 2021 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
