UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State student-athletes Jack Baldwin (men's gymnastics) and Nick Lee (wrestling) were recently named to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America® At-Large Team. Baldwin earned a spot on the first team, while Lee was a second-team honoree.

Baldwin (Mexico, N.Y.) earned Academic All-America recognition for the first time, adding to an impressive list of academic honors he received this season. He was the recipient of the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Elite 90 Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at their respective NCAA Championships event, and followed that with a CoSIDA Academic All-District accolade.Baldwin, who graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a mechanical engineering major, was a three-time recipient of the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar award and earned three Academic All-Big Ten honors. Penn State men's gymnastics has earned eight Academic All-America awards, including four in the last five years.

Athletically, Baldwin was a mainstay in Penn State's starting lineup while competing on pommel horse. He helped the team win the Big Ten title in 2019 and competed in three NCAA Championships. He concluded his career with his best finish at the national meet, tying for eighth on pommel horse.

Lee (Evansville, Ind.) earned his first CoSIDA Academic All-America® honor with his second team nod.  Lee, the 2021 NCAA National Champion at 141 pounds, finished the season with a 13-1 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark in Big Ten duals.  Lee's only loss occurred in the Big Ten finals, a result he avenged in the NCAA title bout when he posted a 4-2 (sv) win over Jaydin Eierman of Iowa in the national finals.  Lee had five majors and four tech falls this season. Lee has a 96-13 career record, is a four-time All-American and defending NCAA Champion.
