Women's Lacrosse Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's lacrosse team has announced its 2021 Fall schedule, featuring eight games against eight different opponents ranging from Sept. 26-Oct. 24.

First, the Nittany Lions travel to Temple to take on the Owls in a single exhibition Sunday, Sept. 16. The Owls went 13-6 a season ago and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Next, Penn State will host Syracuse, Cornell, and Pittsburgh Saturday, Oct. 9, at Panzer Stadium with each participating team playing against the other three between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Syracuse completed the 2021 season with a 17-4 record and a national runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament.

Pittsburgh enters its inaugural season as a program in the 2021-22 school year, and Cornell gets back to game action this season after not having played since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Finally, the Nittany Lions head to Baltimore Sunday, Oct. 24 for four more fall games against Loyola, Florida, James Madison, and Johns Hopkins.

Loyola was another NCAA qualifier in 2021 with a 12-3 overall record, while Florida (18-3), James Madison (12-3), and Big Ten opponent Johns Hopkins (8-7) also made the NCAA tournament.
