Nittany Lions Add Molly Hendrick To Coaching Staff

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's lacrosse team has added Molly Hendrick as a volunteer assistant coach for the upcoming 2022 season.

Hendrick joins offensive coordinator Nikki Grote and defensive coordinator Katrina Geiger as new additions to head coach Missy Doherty's staff.

"We are so excited to welcome Molly to our staff," Doherty said. "She brings an extensive amount of knowledge and experience to our attacking end, and we are so happy to have her a part of our program."

A three-time All-American at North Carolina, Hendrick immediately became one of the game's great stars when she first stepped on the field as a Tar Heel.

As a freshman in 2014, she was named to Inside Lacrosse's All-Rookie team and all signs pointed up from there. She wound up gathering All-America honors each of the next three seasons to highlight a spectacular collegiate career.

She led the Tar Heels with 10 goals in the NCAA Tournament as a junior to win the 2016 national championship, only to follow that performance up with a record-breaking 72 goals and 83 points in 2017 to win ACC Attacker of the Year.

Hendrick's playing career has continued as a member of the US National Team and she was also a member of the WPLL's Philadelphia Fire.

Hendrick was hired as an assistant coach at Ohio State in June 2017 and spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons on the sideline for the Buckeyes.

She has also been one of the lead brand ambassadors for the last four and a half years with STX.
