Nittany Lions in the NFL: Wild Card Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –  A total of 39 Penn State alums are populating the rosters of 24 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions are perennially a top-20 program in producing players in the NFL.
 
As the National Football League playoffs begin this weekend, 19 former Nittany Lions begin their quest to compete for the Super Bowl LVI title. Penn State football players dot the rosters of 12 NFL teams.
 
Among the Nittany Lions apart of NFL playoff organizations are: linebacker Marcus Allen (Steelers), safety Adrian Amos (Packers), offensive tackle Ryan Bates (Bills), tight end Nick Bowers (Raiders), defensive tackle Jack Crawford (Cardinals), kicker Sam Ficken (Titans), Pat Freiermuth (Steelers), defensive tackle Kevin Givens (49ers), wide receiver Chris Godwin (Buccaneers), kicker Robbie Gould (49ers), cornerback Grant Haley (Rams), offensive guard Connor McGovern (Cowboys), quarterback Trace McSorley (Cardinals), center Michal Menet (Packers), defensive end Carl Nassib (Raiders), linebacker Micah Parsons (Cowboys), running back Miles Sanders (Eagles), safety Nick Scott (Rams) and offensive tackle Donovan Smith (Buccaneers).
