Baseball Selected For Two Big Ten Network Broadcasts

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State baseball team will appear on Big Ten Network for two games this season, announced by the conference on Monday.
 
The Nittany Lions' home game, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, on Saturday, March 26 vs. Rutgers will be broadcast on Big Ten Network. The game time is to be determined. Last season, Penn State won five of its seven games against the Scarlet Knights.
 
Penn State will also appear on Big Ten Network on Sunday, May 15 at Ohio State. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. at Bill Davis Stadium. The Nittany Lions earned a 10-6 win in the series finale against the Buckeyes in 2021.
 
All other Big Ten conference matchups will be broadcast on B1G+.
 
The Nittany Lions, led by head coach Rob Cooper, are 3-4 this season. Penn State won its series against Maine last weekend, collecting a 4-3 win in game one and a 9-3 victory in game three.
 
Matt Wood is leading the Nittany Lions' offense with a .458 average. He has two doubles and three homers to go with nine RBI and 11 runs.
 
On the mound, Tommy Molsky and Kellan Tulio have made strong starts each of the last two weekends. The freshman, Molsky, has a 1.69 ERA in 10.2 innings, while Tulio, a junior, has a 1.64 ERA in 11 innings.
