UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's tennis team (6-7) will travel to No. 55 Nebraska (7-4) on Friday at 11 a.m. ET, before heading to Iowa City, Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes (4-7) on Sunday at noon.
Last Time Out
The Nittany Lions fell short to UNCW last Sunday 4-3, in Willington, N.C.
UNCW earned an early lead by securing the doubles point. In their first doubles match as a duo, Penn State's Deanna Lasorda and Alexandra Nielsen defeated Anna Daniels and Brinley Bel of UNCW, 6-2.
Penn State tied the match with singles win from Danielle Alamo over Stela Joksimovic, 6-4, 6-1. The Nittany Lion's earned singles wins on courts No. 2 and 3 from Gabby O'Gorman and Alexandra Nielsen.
Scouting The Cornhuskers
No. 55 Nebraska enters this weekend 7-4 on the season and will take on No. 34 Texas Tech on Wednesday before battling the Nittany Lions on Friday.
The Cornhuskers hold a strong season schedule so far, battling four teams within the top 50 including Iowa State, Kansas, Memphis, and Minnesota.
Preparing For the Hawkeyes
Iowa comes into the weekend 4-7 on the season to face two Big Ten opponents Ohio State on Friday and Penn State on Sunday.
Prior to this weekend's matchups for Iowa, they were swept 2-5 against No. 48 Memphis.
