LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Senior pitcher Bailey Parshall and junior catcher Cassie Lindmark were named Louisville Slugger/Wilson D1 Top Performers of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
Parshall racks up another honor after she was named Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday. The senior from Belle Vernon, Pa. went 4-0 last week with a 0.00 ERA, 27 strikeouts, and two shutouts through 21 innings pitched. It's the third weekly honor of Parshall's career, along with Monday's award and her Big Ten Pitcher of the Week award from March 2020.
It is the first weekly honor of Lindmark's college career. The junior catcher, who transferred to Happy Valley from Kentucky in the offseason, went .500 at the plate getting eight hits, six RBI, and on base percentage of .636 last week.
This season, Lindmark leads the Nittany Lions with a .427 batting average and .520 on base percentage. She also leads the team in hits (35) and is second on the team in RBI (21).
Parshall, Lindmark, and the Nittany Lions take the field one last time before Big Ten play Tuesday night in Happy Valley against Saint Francis (Pa.). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with the game being broadcasted on B1G+ ($).
