University Park, Pa. - The Nittany Lions concluded their season today with three Penn Staters earning All-American honors at the final day of NCAA championships. Ryan Griffiths (Fair Lawn, N.J.), Arwen Borowiak (Tauberbischofsheim, Germany), and Kamar Skeete (Duluth, Ga.) all earned All-American honors in their respective weapons.
In epee, Ryan Griffiths (Fair Lawn, N.J.) earned sixth place with a 0.652 percentage.
Arwen Borowiak (Tauberbischofsheim, Germany) finished in seventh place with a 0.609 average in men's foil, and Sebastiano Bicego (Vicenza, Italy) followed shortly behind in tenth place with a 0.522 percentage.
Finally, in men's saber, Kamar Skeete (Duluth, Ga.) earned eighth place with a 0.565 average. Clement Perrier (Allauch, France) ended in tenth place with a 0.522 average.
Griffiths, Borowiak and Skeete join women's fencer Kateryna Chorniy (Kiev, Ukraine) as Penn State's four All-Americans this year. In addition to the four NCAA All-Americans, the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association awards honorable mention honors to the 9th through 12th place finishers in each weapon. Penn State's USFCA honorable mention recipients are Sebastiano Bicego (Vicenza, Italy), 10th in the men's foil; Clement Perrier (Allauch, France), 10th in the men's sabre; Samantha Catantan (Quezon City, Phillapines), 9th in the women's foil; and Ola Strzalkowski (Littleton, Colo.), 10th in the women's sabre.

Penn State has won 13 combined NCAA Championships in its storied history and three women's titles before the championship became a combined event. The Nittany Lions finished second last year as Penn State hosted the NCAA Championships in the Bryce Jordan Center. Griffiths claimed the NCAA individual title in the epee to lead Penn State. Penn State had 10 All-Americans a year ago.
