UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State has announced single-game sale dates for men's hockey tickets as well as information regarding the student ticket sale and the 2022-23 game promotions.
SINGLE-GAME TICKET SALE
A limited number of single-game tickets will go on sale during the exclusive Nittany Lion Club and men's hockey season ticket holder pre-sale on Wednesday, September 7 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. If tickets remain, they will go on sale to the public at 3:00 p.m. All sales will occur on ticketmaster.com.
As was the case last season, mobile ticketing will be the primary ticket delivery method for all single game tickets during the 2022-23 season. In an effort to increase the security of the ticket buying and event entry process, print-at-home PDF tickets are no longer accepted for entry at Pegula Ice Arena. STUDENT TICKET SALE
The Penn State student season ticket sale will take place Tuesday, September 20 at 7:00 a.m. The student season ticket package will again cost $165 and include every home game with the exception of the Michigan State and Alaska series during Thanksgiving Break as well as the contest against RIT on New Year's Eve, a total of 15 contests. Student season tickets will be sold exclusively through ticketmaster.com. Additional details regarding the student season ticket sale are now posted at www.GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral.
Students wishing to purchase tickets for the Michigan State and Alaska contests on November 18-19 and November 22-23, respectively, as well as the single-game against RIT on December 31 may do so on September 7 when tickets go on sale to the public, subject to availability. Tickets will be assigned physical seat locations among other public buyers.
2022-23 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
The men's hockey teams annual Teddy Bear Toss game, presented by the Penn State Bookstore, will be on Saturday, December 3 versus Ohio State. Each year hundreds of new or gently used stuffed animals are tossed onto the ice during an intermission to be donated to THON and other local children's philanthropies.
The annual Wear White game will be Saturday, January 21 versus conference foe Notre Dame. Last season the Fighting Irish took 11 of a possible 12 Big Ten points with three regulation victories and one overtime win in the four matchups.
Senior Day, presented by the Penn State Alumni Association, will be the final home contest of the regular season when the Nittany Lions host the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, February 25.
PREMIUM PARKING
Premium parking will be available on a season basis for club, loge, and on the glass ticket holders. Premium parking is located in the Shields and Wagner parking lots closest to Pegula Ice Arena. Premium parking will also go on sale Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. via Account Manager for $400 ($20/game).
Season ticket holders who have 1-4 tickets will be able to purchase one premium parking pass. Season ticket holders with 5-8 tickets will have the ability to purchase two premium parking passes as they have in years past.
Premium parking will be paper passes that will be mailed prior to the 2022-23 season.
GENERAL PARKING
General parking will be available on a season basis for all season ticket holders via the Park Mobile app. General parking is located in the Stadium West and Jordan East parking lots across University Drive from Pegula Ice Arena. Season general parking is on sale now via Park Mobile, at the bottom of the page, for $100 ($5/game).
CLUB BUFFET
Full season and half season Club Buffet passes will also go on sale Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. via Account Manager for club and loge ticket holders. Full season passes will be $400 ($20/game) and half season passes will be $200 ($20/game).
Club Buffet redemption will be via paper vouchers that will be mailed prior to the 2022-23 season. Vouchers are good for any game in the 2022-23 season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
With fans back in the building last season, Penn State once again played in front of the highest capacity crowds in the nation with a 103.4 percent capacity. Pegula Ice Arena was sold out for 14 of the 18 regular season home games last year and has been filled for 140 of its 153 games hosted all-time, excluding the 2020-21 season when fans were prohibited from attending games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nittany Lions played in front of an average of 5,976 fans per night in 2021-22, the fourth highest average attendance in the nation.
The Nittany Lions have high expectations for the 2022-23 campaign as they return their top-12 leading scorers from last season along with 93 percent of its goal scoring and 94 percent of its overall scoring from a season ago.
