UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The 2022 Penn State cross country season is set to begin as its first regular season meet is scheduled for this Friday, Sept. 2, in Lock Haven.
The annual Dolan Duals at the West Branch Cross Country Course is slated to begin at 6 p.m. with the women's 4k competition followed by the men's 6k competition at 6:30 p.m. Results can be found following the meet on GoPSUSports.com.
Early this week, both of Penn State's cross country teams were ranked in the top four of the 2022 USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Regional preseason rankings. The women's team was picked third and men's team was picked fourth.
Some of Penn State's top returners on the women's side include Madaline Ullom, who had the team's top finish at the 2021 Big Ten Championships and a second-best team performance at the 2021 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
Additional top returners on the women's team include Makenna Krebs and Faith DeMars.
Fifth-year senior Evan Dorenkamp returns for the men's team after his All Mid-Atlantic Region team performance in 2021. Additional top returners include Brandon Hontz and Brendan Colwell.

The Nittany Lions will host their first of three 2022 home meets, the Spiked Shoe Invitational, next Friday, Sept. 9, at the Penn State Golf Courses. View the full 2022 schedule and results page here.
