Men's Rugby defeat Mount St. Mary's 32-0

University Park, PA –  On a chilly State College evening in September, Penn State Men's Rugby found some rhythm and on the back of a very strong defensive performance, defeated Mount St. Mary's 32-0.

The first half of the match was all Penn State as the Lions pressured Mount St. Mary's. Despite the constant pressure Penn State just couldn't capitalize on some opportunities to put some points on the board through tries. However, Dalton Musselman put two penalties over early to setup a 6-0 lead. Finally late in the half Adam Bilbo dotted down in the corner off the back of some strong phases taking PSU into the half ahead 11-0.

The second half was a similar story from the first, with Penn State dominating territory and possession but just unable to put the game away. Adam Bilbo scored a hat-trick of tries as he picked up 2 more in the second half. Dalton Musselman converted both stretching the lead to 25-0.

With time winding down Zachary Ottinger found some space off the edge of the breakdown and scooted down the touchline to seal off the match. Lorenzo Zamel converted and sealed the match, 32-0 Penn State.

The team will have their bye this coming weekend and will resume league play 12:00pm, 8 October at Navy.
