UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's cross country teams will race on the University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday, October 28, in the Big Ten Championship Meet.

The women will run a 6K race beginning at 10:45 a.m. and the men will follow with an 8K race at 11:45 a.m.

With the women sitting at No. 3 in the regional rankings and the men coming in at No. 10 in the region, both squads seek standout performances before the NCAA Mid-Atlantic regional meet in November.

This year's Big Ten field features five nationally ranked teams on the women's side and two on the men's side. Last year, when the Nittany Lions hosted the Big Ten meet at home, Minnesota claimed the women's championship and Wisconsin took the title for the men. Penn State hasn't won a Big Ten Championship meet since the women's squad finished atop the conference in 2015.

Live results can be found on PrimeTime Timing and final results will be posted to GoPSUsports.com at the conclusion of the event. The race will also be streamed on BTN+.

  • The men's stayed at No. 10 in the same poll.
  • Last time out, the women's squad took second place overall, out of 18 teams, and placed four runners in the top 15, setting them up well for a strong postseason push.
  • The men's squad continued to improve, as they placed above five regional teams in their last meet at the Penn State National Open.
  • Faith DeMars led the women's squad, finishing in fifth place overall with a personal best 6K time of 20:34.8.
  • Kileigh Kane (11th place), Madaline Ullom (13th), and Sophia Toti (15th) rounded out the Nittany Lions' top group at the Penn State National Open. This pack will seek to replicate and improve on its strong performance when they take to the course in Michigan.
