Women's Golf Continues Play at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Penn State women's golf team carded a second round 308 on Saturday morning at the 20th annual Landfall Tradition.

San Jose State maintains its lead on the field by two strokes at 12-under while Wake Forest (10-under) sits in second. Florida State and South Carolina are currently tied for third at 4-under while NC State (2-under) rounds out the top-5.

Senior Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) bounced back from a tough opening round on Friday and paced Penn State with a 2-over, 74, on Saturday to move up 14 spots on the leaderboard.

Sophomore Drew Nienhaus (St. Louis, Mo.) also rebounded nicely during the second round firing a 4-over, 76, including a 1-under back-nine, which was her opening nine of the morning after starting on the 10th hole.

Senior Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) fired a 6-over, 78, while senior Isha Dhruva (Katy, Texas) and sophomore Michelle Cox (Allentown, Pa.) finished the day 8-over and 9-over, respectively, to round out the team scoring.

The field returns to the course tomorrow morning for an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start in the final round of competition.
