UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - No. 16/16 Penn State travels to Indiana for a Big Ten contest on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ABC. The 2022 Penn State football season is presented by PSECU.

SERIES HISTORY: Penn State meets Indiana for the 26th time in program history. The Nittany Lions hold a 23-2 advantage in the series and have won seven of the last eight matchups, including a 24-0 victory in Beaver Stadium in 2021. Penn State held Indiana to 264 total yards, while Ji'Ayir Brown and Joey Porter Jr. each had a pick. Sean Clifford threw three touchdown passes, including two to Jahan Doston and one to Brenton Strange.

CLIFFORD BREAKS CAREER RECORDS: Against Ohio State, Sean Clifford broke a pair of Penn State career records. He threw three touchdowns on the day, including the 78th passing touchdown of his career, on a 5-yard pass to Kaytron Allen in the fourth quarter, to break the record previously held by Trace McSorley (77; 2015-18). Clifford also leaped Christian Hackenberg (1,235; 2013-15) for the career pass attempts mark at Penn State. The redshirt senior also holds the career completions (754) and completion percentage (60.9) records at Penn State.

WASHINGTON'S CAREER DAY: Parker Washington set career highs with 11 receptions for 179 yards against Ohio State. His 11 receptions included a 58-yard score in the second quarter, a 27-yard grab and a 26-yard catch. His 179 yards are the ninth-highest in a single game at Penn State. Washington joined Jahan Dotson as the only PSU receivers to have multiple 100-yard receiving games against Ohio State.

UNDER 100 RUSHING YARDS: The Nittany Lions held Ohio State to 98 rushing yards and 3.8 yards per carry (OSU entered the game averaging 5.6 yards per rush). Penn State has limited five opponents to less than 100 rushing yards this season (Purdue, 61; Ohio, 99; Central Michigan, 88; Northwestern, 31; Ohio State, 98).

THE OPPOSITION: Indiana is 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the Big Ten this season. The Hoosiers were on a bye week last Saturday. In their last game, at Rutgers, Indiana fell 24-17. The Hoosiers jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but the Scarlet Knights rallied off 24-straight points. Connor Bazelak threw for 210 yards and scored on a 7-yard run. Jaylin Lucas opened the game with a 93-yard kick return touchdown. Aaron Casey led the Hoosiers with 11 tackles, while Bradley Jennings Jr. had 10 stops and three pass breakups.
