THIS WEEK'S ACTION:
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State (0-0, 0-0 B1G), ranked No. 1 on the InterMat Tournament Power Index (TPI), will host Lock Haven (0-0) in the season opening dual meet for both teams on Friday, Nov. 11. The dual is set for 7 p.m. in Rec Hall.
The Nittany Lions feature a line-up that includes five returning All-Americans (four of whom are returning national champions), a handful of NCAA qualifiers with the potential for some new faces to make their Penn State debuts.
Roman Bravo-Young will enter the season ranked No. 1 at 133 after winning a second straight NCAA title last season. Beau Bartlett is ranked No. 16 at 141 to start the season, down at his regular weight. Redshirt freshman Shayne Van Ness enters the year rnaked No. 27 at 149 while classmate Alex Facundo begins the season ranked No. 23 at 165. Carter Starocci begins the year ranked No. 1 at 174 after winning as a second straight crown. Aaron Brooks is ranked No. 1 at 184 after he claimed his second straight national title last March and Max Dean is ranked No. 1 at 197 after winning his first last year. Greg Kerkvliet begins the year ranked No. 2 at 285 after earning his second All-America honor with a fourth place finish a year ago.
Lock Haven heads to State College after opening its season with wrestlers competing at the Princeton Open last weekend, with Gabe Strickland winning the title at 133. The Bald Eagles feature a number of ranked wrestlers, including sophomore Anthony Noto (No. 13 at 125) and senior Ashton Eyler (No. 20 at 157).
Penn State will send a number of wrestlers to the Binghamton Open on the Sunday after the LHU dual, Nov. 13, as well.
The Nittany Lions return to action next weekend, taking the squad to West Point, N.Y., for the Army West Point Black Knight Open on Sunday, Nov. 20.

CARTER STAROCCI, AARON BROOKS, GREG KERKVLIET TO COMPETE IN NWCA ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Three Penn State Nittany Lions will compete in the 2022 NWCA All-Star Classic in Austin, Tex., on Nov. 22. Returning two-time NCAA Champions Carter Starocci and Aaron Brooks, and returning two-time All-American Greg Kerkvliet, will all compete. The NWCA All-Star meet is an exhibition event and the results DO NOT count on any wrestlers NCAA record form or towards the season's RPI.

BJC DUAL MATCHES
- Prepaid parking for BJC Dual matches will not be included in the season parking packages, and prepaid parking will need to be purchased for each match.
- Since the BJC Dual and Men's Ice Hockey game will overlap, parking in Jordan East and Stadium West is expected to sell out prior to these events, and additional parking areas will be made available if this occurs. More information will be released prior to the event.

Head-in parking is required at the Nittany and West Decks.
