Women's Lacrosse Adds Naomi Radio to Staff

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Head coach Miss Doherty adds to her staff with her announcement of Naomi Radio as new Volunteer Assistant Coach. Radio comes from Juniata College where she served as the head women's lacrosse coach for six years. 
 
COACHING EXPERIENCE
She served as the first-ever head women's lacrosse coach at Juniata and led the team to an 11-6 season last year. Before Juniata, Radio was an assistant coach at State College Area High School. She was also the Head Girl's Lacrosse coach at Chambersburg Senior High School. She previously was an assistant coach at Division II Shippensburg and then the head coach for three seasons. 
 
PLAYING EXPERIENCE 
Radio graduated from Mount St. Mary;s University in Emmitsburg, Md. Radio was a two-time Academic All-America First Team selection in lacrosse from 2004-05. She was selected as the NEC Student-Athlete of the Year in 2004, was a three-time member of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, and was a two-time NEC women's lacrosse scholar-athlete.
 
The State College native was named All-Northeast Conference three times, including being named to first team twice and earned Player of the Year honors in 2004.
