Radio enters her second season with the Nittany Lions in 2024-25 after being promoted to assist coach from her previous role as volunteer assistant coach at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Radio serves as the goalkeepers coach and helps with the defensive unit.
In 2024, Radio helped coach Sydney Manning who was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Manning made 100 saves in her rookie campaign. Radio was a part of the staff that led the program to its third ever Big Ten Championship appearance and 27th NCAA appearance.
In 2023, Radio helped coach Ashley Bowan in her first season at Penn State as the goalkeeper coach. Bowan made 130 saves throughout 2023 season including 19 in the Nittany Lions' game against John Hopkins which ranks her in the top-five nationally in saves in a single-game. Bowan also produced a second half shutout against Ohio State in a 13-3 win. Radio was a part of the 2023 staff that led the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018.
Naomi Radio came to Penn State from Juniata College where she served as the head women's lacrosse coach for six years.
She served as the first-ever head women's lacrosse coach at Juniata and led the team to an 11-6 season in 2022. Before Juniata, Radio was an assistant coach at State College Area High School. She was also the Head Girl's Lacrosse coach at Chambersburg Senior High School. She previously was an assistant coach at Division II Shippensburg and then the head coach for three seasons.
Radio graduated from Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md. Radio was a two-time Academic All-America First Team selection in lacrosse from 2004-05. She was selected as the NEC Student-Athlete of the Year in 2004, was a three-time member of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, and was a two-time NEC women's lacrosse scholar-athlete.
The State College native was named All-Northeast Conference three times, including being named to first team twice and earned Player of the Year honors in 2004.
