Penn State Fencing Teams Host Last Home Event Sunday in Multi-Sport Facility

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams are set to host their last home event of the 2022-23 season this Sunday, January 15th, in the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. They will face fencers from Yale, Columbia, The University of Pennsylvania, The University of North Carolina, Temple and Haverford. Action will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the last set of bouts taking place on strips 1-5 against Haverford at 4:45 p.m. 
 
Sunday will also be senior day for the Nittany Lion fencers, presented by the Penn State Alumni Association. The seniors being honored will be Cat Cao, Ryan Griffiths, Nirali Igoe, Halah Keramane, Ethan Mullennix, Kyle Yi, Clement Perrier, Evelyn Pham, Jonathan Piskovatskov, Devin Tafoya, and Axelle Wasiak.  The ceremony will take place at roughly 12:40 p.m. during the lunch break and prior to facing Duke for the match of the day at 1 p.m. 
 
Penn State will begin the day fencing against Yale at 8:30 a.m., Columbia at 9:45 a.m., UPenn at 11 a.m., Duke at 1 p.m., North Carolina at 2:15, Temple (Women's team) at 3:30 p.m., and will conclude the day against Haverford at 4:45 p.m.
