Penn State Fencing Teams Face Weekend Test at St. John’s Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Fresh off a big weekend in the Multi-Sport Facility, the Penn State men's and women's fencing teams shift their sights to the St. John's Invitational. Competition will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Taffner Arena at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y. 
 
Arwen Borowiak, Aidan Johnson, Donavyn Martinez, Konner Paik and Caiden Cannon will participate in men's foil, with Samantha Catantan, Arianna Proietti, Grace Seal, Ariel Ratsep, Halah Keramane and Clarisse Tan on the women's foil side. 
 
Representing Penn State in men's epee will be Devin Tafoya, Mitchel Bekker, Nicholas Glaz, Ryan Griffiths and Jonathan Piskovatskov. Kateryna Chorniy, Axelle Wasiak, Jaclyn Khrol, Nirali Igoe Jordan Liverant will compete in women's epee. 
 
Lastly, for sabre, Neil Lilov, Jeff Basalyga, Nicholaus Zielinski, Clement Perrier and Fernando Chacon are set to compete for the men with Steph Jen, Mia Novick, Teagan McNally, Amelia Baker, Ola Strzalkowski on the other side for the women.
