University Park, PA – Penn State Men's Rugby announced their 2023 Fall schedule this past week. The Nittany Lions open with a pre-season friendly against Clemson, before a trip to West Point to start Rugby East play against 2022 National Champion, Army.
"I am excited to announce the 2023 schedule," Hundley said. "The Rugby East competition is growing in size and strength, and it is an excellent challenge that the team is looking forward to. We will look to build off a strong Spring season in 2023 and continue to build as a program this fall."
The team will start the season on the road, firstly against Clemson, Saturday 9 September and then the following weekend a trip to West Point, NY to take on Army, Saturday, 16 September.
After a couple road games the team returns to University Park for a pair of home matches against 2022 NCR Champion St. Bonaventure on 30 September. The Lions welcome Notre Dame College to town for the Annual Friends and Family weekend, 7 October. Last year Penn State Rugby celebrated the 60th Anniversary season which saw a large crowd of Alumni return to State College to celebrate the program and its success. We look forward to hosting another incredible event this year.

Once again, 2 December, the team will travel down to Charlotte, NC to compete in the CRAA D1A Bowl Series match. Opponent for this match is TBD.
