Men's Gymnastics Concludes Competition at U.S. Championships

SAN JOSE, Calif.- Penn State men's gymnastics student-athlete, Josh Karnes qualified for the U.S. National Development team based off of his scores from the first day of competition at the Xfinity U.S. Championships at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. 
 
Karnes placed 12th in the all-around with a score of 82.452 on Thursday, Aug. 24. The Pennsylvania native earned a top-10 finish in addition to four top-15 finishes with a 13.550 on high bar marking his best performance of the day. 
 
Michael Artlip finished in 17th place in the all-around after earning a combined score of 158.150 with Michael Jaroh coming in right behind at 156.700. Freshman Landon Simpson earned a combined score of 150.250 to place 26th. 
 
2020 Penn State alum Stephen Nedoroscik won the pommel horse with a combined score of 31.301, more than two points higher than second place. He qualified for the Pan American game as well as the Senior National team.
