Men’s Soccer Adds Flower Brothers Duo on National Signing Day

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State men's soccer announces the Flowers brothers will join the Nittany Lions in 2024. This is the first brother pair to come to Penn State together since the Andy and Daniel Parr in 2010.

Bryce and Tyler Flowers are on pace to graduate from Sharon High School in the spring of 2024. They attended George School for two years where they played varsity soccer and have spent the most recent years at Sharon High School.

The brother duo plays for New England Revolution, a team in the MLS Next Program. Both helped lead the team to the MLS Next Cup Championship in 2021 and 2022. Bryce and Tyler were selected to train during the preseason with New England Revolution 2, the MLS Next Pro affiliate.

The Flowers brothers also spent time with Sporting Delaware in the Mid-Atlantic Division of MLS Next. They were both named first team All-Conference players and helped the team to back-to-back East Coast Division Championships.

Bryce has proved to be a lethal attacker, leading the current U19 New England Revolution team in goals. He was also the leading scorer during his season at the George School in 2021-22, scoring 22 goals in 14 games marking the third highest in school history. The offensive threat was the team leader in goals during his time playing for Sporting Delaware as well.

COOK ON BRYCE
"Bryce is an exciting prospect, a very talented target center forward who has blossomed during his time at the New England Revolution Academy. Prior to moving to New England, Bryce was very successful with his original club Sporting Delaware, and we feel confident that he will continue his progress as a Penn State Nittany Lion."

"I knew I wanted to attend Penn State the moment I started the college search. When my brother and I talked to Coach Cook, he made was very passionate about wanting us. I felt a family aspect after meeting the players and coaches when I visited and I knew I wanted to be a part of it."

Tyler is an impressive defensive midfielder. In his time with Sporting Delaware, Tyler was selected as an ECNL All-American and was named the Player of the Year after the 2021-22 campaign.

COOK ON TYLER
"Tyler has impressed us with his consistency as a defensive midfielder both while he was a member of Sporting Delaware, as well as his time with the New England Revolution Academy. Tyler is a great competitor and driven to improve himself as a player. We feel these attributes will serve him well as he joins us in Happy Valley.
