UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field squad is set to resume its 2023-24 indoor campaign with the Nittany Lion Challenge on Saturday morning. The Nittany Lions will host 16 schools for the all-day meet with competition in the Multi-Sport Facility slated to start at 10:30 a.m.

Penn State had an outstanding opening weekend of competition during the first week of December when it traveled to Bucknell to compete in the Bison Opener. Members of the Penn State women's squad earned five event victories at the first meet of the 2023-24 indoor campaign. Additionally, two Nittany Lions competed in the 3K at Boston University, clocking outstanding times in the season's opening weekend.
The Nittany Lions' annual Blue & White scrimmage, also in December, gave Penn State's athletes their first taste of home competition in the new season. Multiple athletes posted marks that would have made it to the top spots in Penn State's record books had they been set during in-season competition. The team's excellent performance at their home scrimmage bodes well for the resumption of the season on Saturday.
