FORT WORTH, Texas – Penn State men's gymnastics was well represented at the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships over the weekend in Josh Karnes and alumnus Stephen Nedoroscik with the pair qualifying to the Olympic trials in Minneapolis, Minn. June 27-30.
Nedoroscik won his fourth pommel horse national title after earning a cumulative score of 30.000 (15.400, 14.600). The specialist landed a spot on the U.S. Senior National team.
Karnes collected a combined score of 157.450 in the prelims and finals in the all-around. The Erie, Pa. native earned his highest score of the weekend in the prelims on parallel bars getting a score of 14.600. Karnes earned a spot on the U.S. Senior Development team.
The Olympic trials will air on NBC and Peacock.
