Q: What can you guys take away from tonight, is there a bright spot to kind of take away?
A: I wouldn’t say a bright spot, but just knowing that no one is going to give you anything. Even though we got up, we still had to attack everything and be physical with them and kind of take over mentally. I feel like that was the one thing we were really missing, taking over the game and putting our foot on the ground and saying this is our game.
Q: Can you put into a few words what it’s meant to wear the Maryland jersey and play at this program.
A: It’s definitely a blessing. Everything I’ve been through whether that is adversity or obstacles. Big thank you to coach for taking me in. I was a young guy with a torn ACL, two years out of football who lost all his offers. So, a big thank you to him and his staff for believing in me and taking me in. I’m so thankful for everybody and the University of Maryland.

Q: When you look back at the season, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
A: For me, my career here has been a blessing, but it’s all about paying it forward. Obviously, I’m not satisfied with how our season went and I wanted things to go differently, but everything happens for a reason. What we went through this year has taught us a lot, the vets and the younger guys. At this point it’s all about paying it forward.
Q: Could you share a little bit of what Coach Simpson said in the locker room after the last game?
A: Basically, saying thank you for the foundation we laid and what we brought to the table, as far as leadership and performance and production. He was calling out to the younger guys that it’s on them, how we progress moving forward for the 2025 season. It’s going to come down to execution and preparation, he harped on that.
