GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Penn State men’s golf team opens up the spring portion of its 2024-25 season Saturday and Sunday when the Nittany Lions compete in Florida’s Gators Invitational.

The 54-hole event is scheduled to begin with 36 holes Saturday, followed by the third and final round from Mark Bostick Golf Course Sunday.

The tournament field features Penn State, host and No. 14 Florida, Charlotte, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Liberty, North Florida, No. 9 Oklahoma State, No. 25 South Florida, UCF and West Virginia.

The Penn State team lineup will feature Jake Griffin, Alex Creamean, Andres Barraza, Will Preston and Morgan Lofland. Griffin led the Nittany Lions during the fall slate with a 73.03 stroke average. Creamean collected a top-10 finish at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational in the fall.
