UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – No. 13 Penn State men’s track & field’s Ajani Dwyer earned his fourth Big Ten Men’s Freshman of the Week award of the 2024-25 season, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Dwyer tied Cheickna Traore’s school record with a 6.54 in the 60-meter dash at the USATF Indoor Championships on Sunday. The freshman’s mark came as he finished as the top overall qualifier in the 60-meter prelims. The 18-year-old went on to finish sixth in the United States in the event in his first taste of US competition.
The Nittany Lion newcomer earns his fourth conference weekly award of the 2024-25 season and continues to amass accolades as one of the top sprinters in the country.
