UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men’s basketball senior D’Marco Dunn has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week following his career-best performance in the Nittany Lions’ road victory at #12 Wisconsin, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Dunn put together a career effort to lead Penn State to it’s first-ever win at the Kohl Center and first road win at Wisconsin in over 30 years as the Nittany Lions upset #12 Wisconsin 86-75 Saturday afternoon to earn Penn State’s highest-ranked road win since 2009.
Dunn shot a blistering 10-for-12 (83.3%) from the field and 4-for-5 (80%) from 3-point range en route to a career-best and game-high 25 points. He added four assists and three rebounds. Fifteen of his 25 points came in the second half as Penn State erased a double-digit first-half deficit to come back for the 11-point road win.
Dunn earns the first Big Ten Player of the Week honor of his career. He is the first Penn State player to earn Big Ten Player of the Week accolades since Jalen Pickett did so twice during the 2022-23 season (Feb. 20, 2023 & Dec. 27, 2022).
Dunn served as a massive spark for the Nittany Lions through the second half of the regular season, averaging 12.3 points per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the field and 46.3 percent from 3-point range in the final 14 games of the regular season.
The 2024-25 Penn State men’s basketball season is presented by Highmark Health.
