CHAMPAIGN, Ill.- The Penn State men's tennis team dropped its match, 4-0, to No. 27 Illinois on Saturday.
DOUBLES
On Court 1, Charl Morgan and Marcus Schoeman fell, 6-1, to Kenta Miyoshi and Mathis Debru. At third doubles, Shri Murugesan and Denys Forgaci dropped their match to Max Mroz and Jeremy Zhang, 6-3.
Sam Bossem and Nolan Ranger took the second spot and was trailing Zach Viiala and Tyler Bowers, 4-3, when the match went unfinished after Illinois had already claimed the doubles point.
SINGLES
Playing at the top spot, Morgan dropped his match to No. 16 Miyoshi, 6-3, 6-3. At fifth singles, Ranger fell to Debru, 6-1, 6-1. On Court 6, Forgaci dropped to No. 72 Mroz, 6-1, 6-4.
At second singles, Bossem faced Bowers, trailing 6-2, 3-4. On Court 3, Schoeman was down 6-2, 3-1 to Viale. Murugesan took the fourth spot, leading Zhang 6-2, 3-1. The three matches went unfinished as Illinois had already clinched the match point.
