Baseball’s Big Ten Tournament Game Time On Thursday Moved Up

Penn State, USC now meet at 2 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network

OMAHA, Neb. – Penn State baseball’s Big Ten Tournament Presented by IFS.ai pool play contest against No. 4 seed USC on Thursday, May 22 has been moved up to a 2 p.m. first pitch due to anticipated rain on Friday. The game will be broadcasted on Big Ten Network. The Big Ten Tournament is being played at Charles Schwab Field.

 

The Nittany Lions kicked off their Big Ten Tournament pool play with a 5-3 win over Washington on Wednesday. PSU took a one-run lead in the first and blew the game open with three runs in the sixth. Ryan DeSanto fired 5.2 scoreless innings, while Bryce Molinaro drove in two runs and Ryan Weingartner added a solo homer.

 

With a win over USC, Penn State advances to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals on Saturday at 3 p.m.

 

The Big Ten Tournament Championship Game is on Sunday at 3 p.m.

 

Penn State, led by head coach Mike Gambino, is 32-22 this season (15-15 Big Ten). PSU reached the 30-win mark for the first time since 2011 and with 32 wins, tied its second-most wins in a season in program history.
