CARLSBAD, Calif. – Penn State men’s golf student-athletes Alex Creamean and Jake Griffin have been named to the Division I All-Northeast Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Saturday.
The GCAA annually recognizes NCAA Division I collegiate players across six regions -- Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West. With two GCAA All-Region honors in 2024-25, a total of 95 Nittany Lions have been recognized as All-Northeast Region selections since 1992-93.
Griffin earns All-Region honors for the third-straight season after leading the Nittany Lions with a 72.76 stroke average during his senior season in 2024-25. Griffin turned in a sixth-place finish in the Rutherford Intercollegiate in April for his highest finish of the season. He owns a 72.97 career stroke average.
Creamean collects his first All-Region honor after wrapping up a strong first season in the Blue & White. He wrapped up his sophomore season with a 73.14 stroke average, a mark that ranked second-best on the team. Creamean collected one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes throughout the season in addition to being Penn State’s highest-finisher at the 2025 Big Ten Championships.
The GCAA's Northeast Region, which covers the geographic area from Maine to Washington, D.C., comprises more than 50 NCAA Division I programs and has the largest number of schools of any region.
