Jordan Selected to U.S. Soccer Women’s College Talent ID Camp in Atlanta

Incoming freshman defender joins inaugural 42-person collegiate talent ID camp hosted by U.S. Soccer

ATLANTA – Penn State women’s soccer incoming freshman defender Hannah Jordan was named to the inaugural U.S. Soccer Women’s College Talent ID Camp following a release from the United States Soccer Federation on Monday afternoon.

One of 42 current or incoming collegiate student-athletes selected, Jordan joins an impressive group of talents from across the country in the historic camp, slated to run from June 18 to 22 in Atlanta, Georgia, home of the new Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center. All the field players invited to this camp have limited prior programming with the U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Teams. The camp will be a collaboration between the Talent ID staff, the U.S. Youth National Teams’ head coaches and USWNT staff.

A dynamic midfielder prospect from the Lone Star State of Texas, Jordan arrives in Happy Valley following a decorated career in the high school, ECNL and USYNT programs. Jordan was dominant during her high school career at Southlake Carroll High School, leading her squad to the 2022 UIL 6A State Championship, landing Newcomer of the Year honors in the process. She has been named a First Team All-District selection in every year of her high school career with an Honorable Mention All-State selection in 2023. She handled her club commitments with Solar SC under the direction of Adrian Solca and Matt Colvin, winning a pair of ECNL National Championships in 2021 and 2023.

Jordan was named ECNL Conference Player of the Year, an ECNL All-American, a four-time ECNL First Team All-Conference selection and has participated in the ECNL National Selection Game. She was named to multiple U.S. Youth National Team domestic training camps, a USYNT international training camp with friendlies, garnered a pair of international caps and participated in four USYNT ID centers. Jordan was ranked as the second-highest prospect in PSU’s seven-member signing class from 2024-25, picking up the No. 30 national ranking according to TopDrawerSoccer while helping bolster the highest-rated recruiting corps in the Big Ten Conference and sixth-best class nationally.

“When looking at player scouting through a female-specific lens, our Women’s Talent ID team recognized an opportunity to adapt our strategy to continue to expand our player pools in the older age groups,” said Nicole Lukic, U.S. Soccer’s Director of Talent ID for women and girls. “With our programming increasing at U-18, U-19 and U-20 age groups, and our Talent ID department scaling, this was a good time to further develop our female-specific scouting strategy, dive deeper into our data and analysis of scouting pathways and create this unique camp opportunity. Even though an increasing number of players are going professional at younger ages, the college landscape is still an integral piece of the female-specific pathway in the United States.”

The camp will take place at McCurry Park in Atlanta with the 42 players selected from the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 birth years. The five-day camp will consist of three training sessions and two intrasquad matches, with the overall pool of 42 players divided into two teams for camp. Penn State is one of 28 collegiate programs represented in the inaugural player pool, with Jordan joining 13 additional Big Ten Conference student-athletes from 10 total programs ahead of this month’s camp in Atlanta.
