UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State senior Tyler Duzansky was named a semifinalist for the Mannelly Award on Monday. Duzansky is one of 10 semifinalists for the award for the nation’s top long snapper.
The Patrick Mannelly Award, created in 2019, benefits Bernie's Book Bank, a non-profit organization located in Lake Bluff. The award is named after Patrick Mannelly, a long snapper at Duke, who played 16 years in the NFL (1998-2013) with the Chicago Bears.

- Serving as a team captain in 2025.
- Earned All-Big Ten third team by the media and All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches in 2024.
- Collected Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2024 and 2025.
- Has appeared in 47 games in his career, including 39 games as Penn State’s primary long snapper over the last three seasons.
- Has helped Ryan Barker to go 12-of-13 on field goal attempts and 35-of-35 on extra point attempts this season.
- Aided Gabe Nwosu to average 46.0 yards per punt, currently the best punt average in a season in PSU history, while landing 12 punts inside the 20, seven inside the 10 and blasting nine punts of 50+ yards.
The Mannelly Award semifinalists will be narrowed to three finalists announced on December 1 and the winner selected at the live Mannelly Award ceremony in Lake Bluff on December 13.
