No. 25 Women's Volleyball Falls 3-0 at No. 1 Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – No. 25 Penn State women’s volleyball lost to the top-ranked team in the nation for the second time this season, falling to Nebraska 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-14) in a Big Ten match Friday at the Devaney Center. The Nittany Lions dropped to 17-12 overall and 11-8 in the conference with one regular season match remaining, while the Cornhuskers remained unbeaten at 29-0, 19-0.

Kennedy Martin paced Penn State with 11 kills, reaching double-digits for the 80th-consecutive match when she plays at least three sets. Gillian Grimes led the Nittany Lions defensively with nine digs.

Harper Murray hit .476 with 11 kills to help Nebraska get the victory. Rebekah Allick had nine kills on .750 hitting and added four blocks.

Nebraska is attempting to become the first team to have an undefeated season, including postseason, since Penn State did it in 2009. The Nittany Lions are the only program to do it twice as they also went unbeaten in 2008.
