MacBean extends PSU’s First Team All-B1G streak to 32 consecutive seasons, four additional student-athletes combine for Second and Third Team honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Penn State women’s soccer continued its historic run of success as a leading member of the Big Ten Conference following the announcement of the league’s postseason awards on Tuesday, with the Blue & White landing five student-athletes on All-Big Ten teams in addition to one student-athlete appearing as a B1G Sportsmanship Honoree.

The Nittany Lions saw graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean close her career in the Big Ten out with a bang, landing First Team All-B1G accolades for the second year in a row. Senior forward Amelia White made her first appearance on a B1G postseason award list since landing All-Freshman selection in 2022, garnering Second Team All-Conference laurels. A trio of Penn Staters landed on the All-B1G Third Team, namely sophomore defender Bella Ayscue, redshirt senior midfielder Riley Gleason and sophomore forward Aubrey Kulpa. Redshirt senior midfielder and team captain Julia Raich rounded out PSU’s postseason laurels as the program’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree.

A native of Excelsior, Minnesota, MacBean has stepped into a dominant role for the Blue & White since the start of Big Ten Conference competition. The veteran attacker finished the conference slate as the Big Ten’s leading goal scorer, finding the back of the net on seven occasions during the regular season and once in the Big Ten Tournament to lead all B1G student-athletes in the statistic. MacBean stands as the nation’s 11th-leading scorer over the course of her career with 86 points and ranks fourth among active collegians in career goals scored with 38. MacBean becomes the 25th women in Penn State history to become a multi-time First Team All-B1G selection, as well as the first since Ally Schlegel accomplished that feat thrice in 2019, 2020 and 2022. MacBean is the 83rd First Team All-Big Ten choice in program history, marking the 32nd year in a row that a Nittany Lion has appeared on the conference’s first team. The veteran striker also picked up her fourth B1G postseason award, garnering All-Freshman laurels in 2022, Third Team accolades in 2023, and back-to-back First Team selections in 2024 and 2025.

White, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, published one of the strongest conference campaigns of her collegiate career over the course of the 2025 season. PSU’s fourth-year star on the front line poured in 13 points on the year to mark her highest-scoring single season at the collegiate level, amassing five goals and three assists. White has started in all 19 matches for the Blue & White this season and scored a trio of match winning goals this year, with two of those tallies coming in conference play. White becomes Penn State’s 58th Second Team All-B1G appointment and picks up her first postseason award from the conference office since landing All-Freshman distinction in 2022.

The Cromwell, Connecticut, native Kulpa enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign worthy of national distinction, helping steer one of the strongest attacks in the Big Ten Conference while finishing as the team’s leading scorer on the campaign. The second-year sensation totaled eight goals and six assists over the course of the regular season, amassing 22 total points to pace the PSU roster. Kulpa finished the regular season as the Big Ten’s statistical champion in both goals per match (0.53) and points per match (1.47) while ranking prominently on the national stage in both categories. Kulpa becomes Penn State’s 10th Third Team All-B1G selection and picked up her first postseason award from the conference office.

Hailing from Apex, North Carolina, Ayscue published a powerful performance throughout the 2025 season, highlighted by a single-season career-high scoring mark of five points split between two goals and an assist. On the back line, Ayscue appeared and started in all 19 fixtures and tallied over 1,600 minutes on the pitch, playing 90 minutes in all but three matches. Meanwhile, the Mission Viejo, California, native Gleason held the team together in the holding midfield while serving as one of the best distributors in the league this season. Gleason finished with nine assists to lead all Nittany Lions while simultaneously logging the highest assist total in the B1G. Ayscue and Gleason finish as the 11th and 12th Third Team All-Big Ten appointees in program history, with both student-athletes landing their first postseason accolades from the conference office.

Raich, a native of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, turned in the most dominant statistical season of her collegiate career while finishing as one of four Nittany Lions with double digits in the scoring column. Raich tallied 16 points on the campaign split between five goals and six assists. In addition to her contributions on the pitch, Raich has been a vocal advocate and supporter of the Down Syndrome Community throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Throughout her time in Happy Valley, Raich helped elevate awareness and generate support for the Centre Region Down Syndrome Society, as well as local businesses and organizations such as Strawberry Fields and Good Day Café. As a captain for the Blue & White, Raich has helped set the tone on and off the field for the program’s success over the past year, highlighted by PSU’s top-six seed and first round bye in the B1G Tournament earlier this month.
