UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Track & Field team is set host its first indoor meet of the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon, hosting several universities in the surrounding Pennsylvania and Maryland area.

The meet is set to begin with several adaptive athletics events as well as women’s shot put at 10 a.m. and will run until the evening with the last event being the men’s 4x400 meter relay set to kick off at 5:35 p.m.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Spectators should park in the Jordan East parking lot while overflow parking is available in Stadium West and Portner North. All vehicles must pay to park, unless they have a valid Penn State campus permit. Parking will $5.50 per vehicle through Parkwhiz for those who pay prior to 11:59 p.m. the day before the meet. Day-of-event parking will be $10 per vehicle, and all individuals can pay through HONK by scanning the QR codes that hung on the light poles at the lots.

LAST TIME OUT

To end 2025, the Nittany Lions participated in three meets over Dec.5-6. Four Nittany Lions, all competing in Boston, notched top five marks in program history. Ada Rand started it off, running a 9:06.18 3K, which is the second-fastest in school history. She finished fourth in the competition after running a PR.

Tayissa Buchanan followed that up with a huge win in the 800-meter at BU’s Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, running a 2:02.67, good for second in school history. Her efforts earned her the Big Ten Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

In the women’s 5K in Boston, Charlotte Costich posted the third-fastest 5K in school history. The senior ran a 15:49.68 on Saturday afternoon, passing her previous personal best by 65 seconds.

Lastly, on the men’s side of the 5K, Nick Sloff ran the second-fastest 5K in program history with a 13:45.36 to finish 38th. Sloff shaved four seconds off his personal best to move into the top five.

Overall, Penn State athletes won 12 events and achieved four top five and one top 10 program marks across the three meets.
