LAST TIME OUT

For the second straight week, a Penn State school record was broken, this time by sophomore Nick Sloff in the 3000-meter at the Penn Elite meet. He ran a 7:48.55 to win the event and break a decade-old record set by Robby Creese in 2015. Sloff moved into tenth in Division 1 this season with the time.

Earlier in the day, Hannah Riolo cleared 5-9.25 (1.76m) to tie teammate Gwen Cudmore for ninth on the all-time program list in the women’s high jump. She would come in second in the event with her new personal best.

Ajani Dwyer won his only event of the day and moved into a second place on Penn State’s all-time list in the 200-meter, running 20.52. He has won every event he’s competed so far this indoor season.

Alex Pancoast had a great day in the field, beating her personal best in the women’s weight throw with a toss of 62-4.0 (19.61m). That performance was good to move Pancoast up two spots in the program top-10, now sitting at seventh.

Overall, Penn State won six events and set four school top-10 marks.
