Nittany Lions hosting second to last meet of the indoor season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Track & Field team is set host its third indoor meet of the 2025-26 season on Saturday, with over 30 schools traveling to participate.  

Events are set to begin at 9:45 a.m. with the women’s weight throw and will end at 5:10 p.m. with the men’s 4x400 relay. The entire meet will be streamed on B1G+.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Parking is available at the commuter lots which includes Stadium West, Jordan East, and Porter North.
  • Spectators can pre-pay for parking at discounted rate of $5.60 if purchased the day before the event by 11:59 p.m. using this link.
  • Day of parking will be $10 and spectators can pay by scanning the HONK QR code that is on the light poles at the lot.

LAST TIME OUT

FRIDAY

  • For the third straight week, a Penn State school record was broken, this time several different records were broken, and three top 10 NCAA all-time marks were set in the 800-meters.
  • Maddie Pitts started the day hot for the Nittany Lions winning the Pentathlon and setting a new personal best at 4,239 points in her third place in program history mark. Lea Hatcher started the track events off strong with a 4:37.60 in the women’s mile, good for eighth in program history.
  • Nick Sloff broke his second program record in as many weeks, this time running a sub-4-minute mile at 3:54.90. Ryan Watson finished second in the event, running the seventh fastest time in program history at 4:01.47. Brian DiCola finished third with a 4:01.86, good for eighth in program history.
  • The Nittany Lions shined in both the men’s and women’s 800-meter events. First, Hayley Kitching broke her own program record with a 2:00.01, edging Boh Ritchie who is now second in program history at 2:01.60. Kitching’s mark is the seventh fastest 800-meter in NCAA history.
  • Handal Roban led the way for PSU in the men’s 800-meter, running the second fastest mark in NCAA history at 1:44.91, breaking the program record. Allon Clay came next, running the second fastest time in school history at 1:45.17 and fifth fastest in NCAA history. Yukichi Ishii finished third for PSU, running the fifth fastest time in school history at 1:46.37. Both Roban and Clay broke into the top 50 fastest marks in world history in the indoor men’s 800-meter with Roban sitting at 28 and Clay at 42.
  • Collin Burkhart finished the day strong for the Nittany Lions in the field, he set a new personal best in his sixth place mark in program history in the weight throw at 69-7.50 (21.22m).

SATURDAY 

  • The throws crew took center stage with three members moving into the top 10. Ryan Henry had a strong day in the men’s shotput, improving upon his personal best twice, moving into fourth place alone in Penn State’s program top 10 with a 65-0.00 (19.81).
  • On the women’s side of the shot put, Skye Petrie-Cameron and Sasha Garnett finished first and second in the event while both moving into the top 10 in program history. Petrie-Cameron threw for a personal-best 53-1.75 (16.20), good for seventh in PSU history while Sasha Garnett threw 52-10.75 (16.12) to move into eighth place in program history.
  • On the track, Kaleb Nastari moved up to eighth in program history in the men’s 1000-meter, finshing third in the event. In the women’s 3000-meter, Charlotte Costich and Lea Hatcher each had top 10 program times. Costich’s 9:07.10 is good for fourth in program history while Hatcher’s 9:09.35 puts her at sixth all-time.
