UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field team is set to close out its outdoor postseason at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held June 10–13 in Eugene, Oregon. The Nittany Lions will send 10 individual qualifiers to compete alongside the nation's best in pursuit of a national title.

The 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2, with live streams of each event available on ESPN+. Links to all event-specific streams can be found above in the meet information section.
PENN STATE QUALIFIERS:
Hayley Kitching qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on the final day of the NCAA East Regional on May 30, posting a time of 1:59.15 in the 800-meter run to win her heat. The 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships will mark Kitching's third outdoor national championship appearance. Kitching returns to the national stage after competing in 2023 and 2024, highlighted by a third-place finish in 2024.
Allon Clay qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on May 29, recording the fastest time in the regional final at 1:44.63. His performance ranks as the third-fastest 800-meter time in program history.
Niko Schultz and Yukichi Ishii also qualified for the national championships in the 800-meter run. Schultz earned an automatic berth after running 1:46.01 to place third in his heat, while Ishii secured the final qualifying spot with a time of 1:46.48.
Nick Sloff qualified automatically after placing fifth in his heat, running a time of 3:43.33 in the men's 1,500-meter run to earn his first trip to the outdoor national championships.
Ajani Dwyer ran 9.99 in the men's 100-meter dash to qualify for his first outdoor championships. Dwyer broke the 10-second barrier for his second consecutive race.
Sasha Garnett earned her first trip to the national championships with a mark of 55-4.75 (16.88m) in the women’s shot put, tying the third-farthest in program history.
Collin Burkhart recorded a 221-2.00 (67.42m) hammer mark to qualify for nationals. Burkhart posted the sixth-farthest distance in the meet and will make his first appearance at the national championships.
Dylan Lambrecht placed second in the shot put with a 64-3.00 (19.58m) effort, while Ryan Henry also qualified after a 62-5.00 (19.02m) performance, good for fifth place.
