One of four Nittany Lions to start all four games in the Cuba Baseball Friendship Tournament … Went 1-for-3 with a walk in opener at Industriales … Went 1-for-5 with an RBI in historic 9-3 win over Mayabeque – the first win for a U.S. team against a Cuban National Series team.
2015 (SOPHOMORE)
Season: Led Penn State in Big Ten games in batting (.333), on-base percentage (.396), runs (15), triples (3), doubles (9) … Appeared in 47 games overall with 46 starts – all at shortstop … Among team leaders with four triples (1st/7th in Big Ten), 35 runs (1st), seven hit by pitches (1st), 11 doubles (t-2nd), 56 hits (3rd) and 25 RBIs (3rd) … Formed double play tandem with Taylor Skerpon that ranked fourth in the country and tops in the Big Ten in double plays turned per game (1.10) … Batted .577 (15-for-26), slugged .885 and reached base at a .607 clip with six doubles a triple, three RBIs and 12 runs during six game hitting streak (4/29-5/9) … Batted .436 with seven doubles and a triple over final nine games of season. At Charleston Southern (3/6-8): Went 3-for-7 with two RBIs, two walks and three runs scored in final two games of the series. Vs. Western Carolina (3/13): Drove in a run on a base hit, walked and stole a base. At Liberty (3/14): Doubled and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Canisius (3/18): Scored twice, stole a base and drove in a run going 1-for-4 with a walk. No. 21 Indiana (3/22): Went 6-for-11 in doubleheader, tallying three hits in each game … Doubled and scored in first game … Hit bases clearing triple in second as Penn State rallied from behind for its first victory over a nationally-ranked team since 2012. At Ohio State (4/4-6): Had a hit each game of series, going 4-for-11 with a double, triple and two runs scored. At West Virginia (4/14): Went 1-for-4, drove in a run and stole a base in victory. Bucknell (4/15): Reached base three times going 2-for-4 with an RBI, stolen base and two runs scored. At Minnesota (4/17-19): Stole a season-high two bases in second game of the series and had an RBI in both of the final two games. At Kent State (4/21): Reached base three times going 1-for-4 with an RBI, two walks and two runs. Illinois (4/25): Went 3-for-6 with an RBI, run and stolen base in 15-inning contest. Pittsburgh (4/29): Went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored … Scored the game-winning run from third base on an infield single in the bottom of the ninth … Started six-game hitting streak. Rutgers (5/1-3): Went 7-for-13 with four doubles, a triple, four RBIs, seven runs over series … Went 4-for-5 with a double, triple and three runs in second game, starting streak of four multi-hit games and matching career high for hits in a game … Had career–high two doubles in series finale, driving in the go-ahead run with one in the eighth. At Michigan State (5/8-9): Went a combined 5-for-9 with three runs in the first two games, including a double in each, to extend hitting streak to six games.
2014 (FRESHMAN)
Season: Started 42 games and saw action in 44 as a shortstop. At Gardner Webb (2/16): Earned his first career hit and start in the second game of a doubleheader. At Santa Clara (3/14): Notched a season-high three hits in a 3-for-4, two-RBI performance. NYIT (3/19): Stole two bases. At Bucknell (3/23): Went 3-for-4 and crossed the place twice in the second game of a doubleheader. At Purdue (4/5-6), West Virginia (4/8): Posted two hits in three-straight contests. Illinois (4/20), at Minnesota (4/25-26 G2), at Villanova (5/13): Went 2-for-4 in four contests late in the season. Michigan State (5/17): Tied personal best with three hits.
