Season: Made 11 appearances with six starts, totaling 24 2/3 innings ... Struck out 23 ... Limited throughout the season due to injury. At No. 1 TCU (2/19): Made first career appearance in relief for one inning, giving up no runs and earning his first career strikeout. Vs. Xavier (2/26): Made first career start, going 3 2/3 scoreless innings with two hits, no walks, and a pair of strikeouts. At Pacific (3/6): Started and pitched three innings, allowing just one run and striking out three. Ohio State (4/9): Started and struck out three in three innings without allowing an earned run. Northwestern (4/22): Pitched two innings in relief allowing just one hit, no earned runs and striking out three. Minnesota (5/7): Worked a perfect inning in relief. Vs. West Virginia (5/10): Started and pitched four innings, scattering five hits and allowing three runs while collecting a strikeout at PNC Park. Villanova (5/16): Started and struck out a career-high nine in four innings.
