At Pacific (3/4, 3/6): Pitched a total of one perfect inning in the series while appearing twice out of the bullpen ... Struck out a batter in each appearance. Columbia (3/24-25): Made two appearances out of the bullpen in the series, totaling three innings pitched, allowing only one hit and striking out five. Cornell (3/29): Pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief, allowing just one hit and striking out two. Ohio State (4/8-9): Faced two batters across two appearances and struck out both. Bucknell (4/12): Struck out a season-high five batters in 3 1/3 inning save, yielding just one run on two hits and a walk. At/Vs. West Virginia (5/9-10): Made a relief appearance in both games, totaling 2 2/3 innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out two. Had three runs or less of run support in eight of 10 starts. Vs. Monmouth (2/19): Was the opening day starter and allowed three runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts. At UNCW (3/5): Struck out a career-high 11 over a career-high 7 1/3 innings pitched. Vs. New York Tech (3/11): Earned his first win of the season, pitching six innings with five strikeouts and only yielding four hits, two walks and an unearned run. Purdue (4/1): Pitched 6 1/3 innings, surrendering one run and striking out four. At Nebraska (5/14): Threw a perfect inning with two strikeouts in his first relief appearance of the season. Iowa (5/20): Pitched five innings in long relief, giving up no runs and striking out five to earn the win. Summer: Struck out 17 and posted a 3.19 ERA and 3-1 record in the Cape Cod League with more than 31 innings pitched in 10 appearances.
