Awards:Academic All-Big Ten. Season: Went 2-1 with three saves, making 15 appearances and four starts … Struck out 36 in 31.2 innings of work … Posted a 5.97 ERA. at Elon (2/16-18): Made two appearances totaling four innings of hitless work with four strikeouts and two saves. at GCU (3/10): Pitched two innings in relief, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts. NJIT (3/17, G2): Pitched final three innings in relief allowing only a solo home run and no walks to earn his third save of the season. at Rutgers (3/24): Pitched two scoreless innings in relief, yielding just one hit and one walk. vs. West Virginia (4/10): Made first start of the season, striking out five in three innings in PNC Park. vs. Lafayette (4/25): Earned first career win, starting and working two innings on a staff day, striking out three and allowing just one hit. at Pittsburgh (5/8): Struck out two and allowed only one run in three innings. St. Bonaventure (5/14): Earned second win and pitched a season-high five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks.

Awards: Academic All-Big Ten. Season: Made 15 appearances, including eight starts ... Struck out 45 batters in 40.2 innings pitched. at No. 1 TCU (2/18): Made debut in second game of the season ... Pitched a clean two innings with a strikeout, no hits allowed and two walks. at Pacific (3/5): Pitched two innings of relief allowing just one hit while striking out two. at Sacramento State (3/11): Pitched 1.2 innings allowing a walk, no hits and striking out one. Bucknell (3/22): Threw four scoreless innings in first career start while striking out five and only giving up a hit and walk. Columbia (3/26): Started and went 4.1 innings, allowing just two runs on two hits and a walk, while striking out a career-high seven batters. at Maryland (4/16): Made a 2.2 innings appearance in relief where he struck out six batters. Northwestern (4/23): Returned to starting rotation and pitched a career-high six innings, allowing just one run on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. at Iowa (4/29): Pitched five innings in the start, scattering four hits and a walk, striking out six and not allowing a run.
