The Nittany Lions return only three defensive tackles with significant experience, so spots in the rotation will be up for grabs during preseason camp. Redshirt freshman Mikel Berry is looking forward to the opportunity to compete for playing time this fall. A football and track standout at Upper Arlington HS in suburban Columbus, Ohio, Berry brings good size, skills and instincts to the field. He has made steady progress during his first year as a Nittany Lion and should have a chance to earn playing time this fall. He is one of seven returnees from Ohio.
