Austin “Bo” Waggoner continues his association with Penn State basketball for a sixth year as the former student manager begins his second season as a graduate manager in 2021-22.
In his four years in his role as a student manager, Waggoner facilitated the setup of practices at home and on location, prepared items and equipment for workouts, and tracked statistics during practices and games.
Waggoner is interested in pursuing a coaching career and his commitment beyond his responsibilities with Penn State basketball includes serving as a coach with the Penn State women’s club basketball team for the past three years. During the summer of 2018, Waggoner also helped plan, organize and manage a summer basketball camp in Reading, Pennsylvania.
His volunteer activities included time with the Coaches vs. Cancer student organization as its treasurer, New Hope Ministries, and participation with the Penn State Smeal Corporate Citizen Conference.
From Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Waggoner earned his Penn State degree in finance with a minor in economics in May 2020.
